While Boundless Server Enterprise was designed for the cloud, it also lives in the cloud – with the cloud’s changes. Sometimes servers fail. We embraced this reality when we created Boundless Server. Failover was once handled and supported by configuring duplicate server architectures and keeping those derivatives in sync, in case one goes offline. With Boundless Server Enterprise, and deploying the technology within a modern devops architecture, failover can be configured across nodes in a matter of seconds, not minutes or hours. This means true failover, giving you the redundancy and assurance your enterprise requires.
Note that changing the number of users requesting maps results in Boundless Server Enterprise dynamically adding/subtracting nodes to increase/decrease the number of maps served in response to the changing demand versus the static capacity of a single Boundless Server node.
