Boundless Insider’s GIS Information
Big things are on the way at Boundless that you won’t want to miss! New releases, new products and features, expanded services and launches. We invite you to stay tuned & get in on the action! Can’t wait? As a reader of our newsletter, here’s some insider’s GIS information: premium tools (basemaps!) and services (mobile!)
In case you missed the GIS News: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency awarded a $36 million contract to Boundless Spatial, Inc. The contract supports NGA GEOINT Services and purchases services required to package, deliver, maintain and patch accredited open source spatial software packages. A big THANK YOU to our customer NGA and to our team who delivers time and again. If you’re interested in Boundless, we have solutions that fit within ALL budgets.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss how we can help solve location data challenges.
GIS Community Working Together
Discover what’s new in the GIS community by checking our community corner. Our team of talented devs took their skills on the road and participated in the GeoServer REST API Code Sprint. A lot of progress was made — 310 commits and over 33k lines of code modified (We would say that’s certainly progress!) An exciting improvement is reference documentation, which will be available in Boundless Connect. You can learn more about the GIS advancements to GeoServer here.
Are you headed to FOSS4G in Boston? Once again, Boundless is proud to be sponsoring FOSS4G and helping to support the great work that they do. Our team has been selected to conduct several geospatial workshops and presentations. We look forward to catching up with the GIS community and our customers at this great event.
GIS Technology Updates
Learn about the latest GIS technology and updates in our Tech Bytes. Thanks, Apple©. We love you, but when your updates cause extra work for our devs, not so much. If you are a Boundless Desktop GIS customer, we issued a maintenance release to fix an error encountered with the latest update for macOS. A Windows release will be rolled out in the coming weeks as well. So maybe Apple’s update was a good thing? We’ve added more GIS technology, than just a fix to the releases, because we know a little something extra is always nice. Read more here
